The Highlights of Dreamforce 2025: ‘Vibing’ with Agentforce and the Agentic Enterprise

Two weeks on from Dreamforce 2025, we are reflecting on the highlights and latest announcements that will make an impact on the way we and our customers leverage Salesforce. Read on to learn our key takeaways from this year’s event.

TL;DR: Salesforce is expanding its AI features beyond Agentforce and Einstein to become an AI-fueled, comprehensive 360 platform, enabling customers to become fully ‘agentic enterprises’. AI is no longer an optional add-on in the Salesforce world, it’s part and parcel.

  • Announcing Agentforce Vibes – Salesforce’s new conversational interface that lets users build apps, workflows, and dashboards simply by describing what they need in natural language. It turns business context into fully functioning solutions within minutes – making automation and app creation more intuitive, faster, and accessible to everyone, not just developers.
  • Reimagining Slack – No longer an underdog in the Salesforce tech stack, Slack has evolved from a collaboration tool into the central operating hub of the Salesforce ecosystem, where users, data, and AI agents all converge to get work done. With embedded Agentforce and Tableau insights, it now drives decisions, automates actions, and connects every part of the business – a digital personal assistant and core pillar of the agentic enterprise, not simply a comms platform.

“Connecting with customers in a whole new way”

Every Autumn, Dreamforce sets the tone for what’s next in business innovation. But this year felt different; more in tune with the expectations and needs of Salesforce users, rather than solely focusing on staying ahead of the curve by marketing and promoting the latest technology. Dreamforce 2025 wasn’t just about features or releases – it was about redefining how humans and AI can actually work together in a sustainable and ethical way. Salesforce’s mission, “to connect with our customers in a whole new way,” came to life through an energising, human-centred showcase of what the company has coined the “Agentic Enterprise”.

At its heart, Dreamforce 2025 asked one question: How can AI elevate people, not replace them?

From AI inertia to human empowerment

If 2024 was the year of AI saturation, 2025 is the year of AI integration. Salesforce’s keynote made it clear: we’ve moved from experimenting with AI to operationalising it.

Marc Benioff captured the shift perfectly when he said, “AI is not enough.” This year’s Dreamforce struck a more hopeful and grounded tone – less about technology for technology’s sake, more about how AI helps humans become better, faster, and more creative. The fear-mongering conversations about being ‘left-behind’ and rhetoric about whole teams made up of digital agent employees have morphed into something much more hopeful and generally realistic. By using AI as a tool, just as we have with resources like hammers, electricity and vehicles to evolve and iterate over the centuries, we can break the ceiling of limitations in terms of human knowledge, capacity and efficiency.

The centrepiece of that vision in a Salesforce context is Agentforce 360, the next evolution of the Salesforce platform. It’s a total rebuild of the clouds that brings intelligence, data, and automation into one seamless ecosystem. From Slack to Tableau, Sales Cloud to Service Cloud, every product now works together to support teams and customers alike, speaking the exact same language.

And that language is context.

Agentforce 3.0 is built around contextual intelligence – understanding not just what a user asks, but the full business situation surrounding that request. It draws on Data 360 (the next gen of Data Cloud), Salesforce’s connected data layer, to interpret information from emails, Slack messages, CRM records, PDFs, dashboards, and customer histories, so every agent response or automation is relevant and accurate. In practice, this means Agentforce doesn’t just execute tasks – it reasons across data, role, and intent to deliver the right action or insight at the right moment. This intelligent context, combined with a powerful trio of Agentforce Voice, Agentforce Builder and Agent Script (all set to be GA by November this year), is the DNA of the new and improved Agentforce: Agentforce 360.

The Agentic Enterprise: Data + Intelligence + Trust

Salesforce defines the Agentic Enterprise as one where AI agents, human teams, and data work together to deliver exceptional outcomes. The goal, as ever, is to let AI handle repetitive, time-consuming work, allowing people to focus on creativity, strategy, and connection.

Agentic agents are no longer just pilots or experiments – they are operating as digital employees in practice.

Brad Lightcap, COO of OpenAI, reinforced a powerful message about trust during the keynote. He reminded the audience that while AI will unlock unimaginable potential, the key to realising it responsibly lies in how we build trust into every system and interaction.

Benioff echoed that sentiment with a question to the audience: “Your customers are elevated, but what about your enterprise?” This is a regular observation and occurrence – almost a running joke – in B2B markets especially, we ensure our customers’ organisations are elevated to the max – budgets permitting – but often our own systems, processes and resources fall to the wayside because customers are the priority. Benioff makes a great point in his speech. If our own businesses aren’t made the best they can possibly be, are we really supporting and serving our customers in the best way we possibly can?

This sentiment is a call to arms for organisations still stuck with legacy tools and siloed data. The Agentic Enterprise, Benioff argued, is how we close that gap; uniting data, intelligence, automation, and, of course, trust.

Agentforce 360 in action: real-world stories, not just hype

One of the most compelling aspects of Dreamforce 2025 was witnessing Agentforce 360 in action through customer stories. Salesforce showcased how some of the world’s most recognisable brands are already transforming their operations with agentic workflows.

Jewellery giant Pandora showed how Salesforce Voice and Agentforce 360 have created 860 million unified customer touchpoints. Every engagement is “one seamless interaction,” powered by AI but fueled by human creativity. As their team put it, “Agentforce allows us to focus on what we do best – telling stories and creating emotional connections.”

For PepsiCo, Agentforce is turning every employee into a “growth agent”. Marketers, sales reps, and field technicians now use the same intelligent ecosystem to innovate, streamline and upsell. Personalised emails, instant meeting recaps, Slack-based collaboration – everything is connected. Even technicians in the field get proactive service insights and automated pre-work briefs. Agentforce frees people to ideate rather than maintain, while embedding a sales and growth mindset across the company.

FedEx’s demo showcased Data 360, the next generation of Data Cloud. It converts raw data, PDFs, reports, charts, into actionable context. Need IT support? Just ask the Agentforce assistant in Slack. It knows who you are, what your role is, and what you need. That shift lets IT teams focus on real innovation while AI handles the noise.

Dell Technologies closed the loop with an impressive supply-chain demo. With 19,000 users already automating thousands of processes, Dell’s Agentforce Supply Chain Manager now builds blueprints, forms, and governance models in minutes – even integrating with ERP systems. Tableau agents highlight bottlenecks and opportunities, ensuring a truly future-proof supply chain. Months of manual work, gone, freeing up the team to work on those innovative and transformational projects we all wish we had time for.

Building everything with agents… even more agents!

During this year’s keynote, Salesforce also unveiled the new Agentforce Builder, introduced live by Salesforce’s SVP of Product Marketing, Sanjna Parulekar. This innovation lets anyone create their own AI agent by interacting with a specialist AI feature using natural language prompts – almost an “agent inception.”

Gone are the days of endless testing and unpredictable results. The new builder turns human language and context into deterministic code, making it easy for admins, developers, and business users alike to design reliable agents that align with their workflows. This feature is set to be GA in November this year.

Patrick Stokes, EVP of Product and Industries Marketing, took this automation a step further by introducing Agentforce Vibes – a conversational interface that lets you build anything in Salesforce from a simple description. In the keynote, Stokes demoed the build of an entire app on stage, complete with a real-time deployment flow for Salesforce’s latest mascot, ‘Vibe Cody’, who was tracked as he wandered the Dreamforce floor, greeting attendees. It was playful, but it made a serious point: context is the key to creation.

Slack: the new agentic home

Another clear takeaway: Slack is becoming the nerve centre of the Agentic Enterprise. It’s no longer just a communication tool – it’s the operational hub where agents, users, and leaders connect. From decision-making to execution, everything can now happen without leaving Slack. This is an interesting development of what can be, and is often used as a standalone product. Embedded Tableau insights, automated meeting recaps, and instant data visualisations make it the true workspace of the agentic era, giving employees more of every businesses most important, and often scarce, resource: time.

What it all means for Salesforce customers

For Salesforce customers and partners like us, the message from Dreamforce 2025 is unmistakable and echoes the message of last year’s pinnacle Salesforce event: the future of work is agentic. However, the difference the year has made is that AI is now woven into the fabric of the Salesforce platform – not as a novelty, but as a trusted teammate.

Key takeaways

  • Salesforce AI is being geared to elevate, rather than eliminate, roles – freeing people for creative, strategic work.
  • Agentforce 360 is the new foundation – uniting data and intelligence across every Salesforce product.
  • Agentforce Vibes is primed to make building easier than ever – a conversational way to create apps, workflows, and dashboards grounded in your own business data and context.
  • Slack is the future workspace hub – your agentic home for daily operations and decision-making.

As Michael Dell put it during the keynote:

“With AI, we are giving the most valuable resource – time – back to our employees.”

That’s the essence of Dreamforce 2025: giving people back their time, creativity, and potential. An optimistic message amplified by Salesforce, taking on board the suggestions, ideas and criticisms from their community and integrating AI intentionally across the entire platform. It’s no longer Salesforce with AI; Salesforce is AI. A vision that Benioff mentioned in the Dreamforce 2024 keynote that was his guiding light since the conception of Salesforce all those years ago.

Our take

AI is the future, but it’s not ‘taking over’. We believe that if humans continue to develop technology to enhance, rather than replace, our skills, knowledge and capacity, the future looks bright for businesses and consumers. People seek interaction, variety, creativity and even imperfection. Salesforce have taken on board the feedback from the community, taken accountability for features that weren’t quite right, and focused their energy on holistically elevating the entire 360 suite with AI baked in, not just as a side dish. They are showcasing processes in action, not just the agents, and keeping human experiences, satisfaction and advancement at the forefront of their strategy.
